Ireland trip planner
Planning a trip to Ireland from the US? Start with one Irishman, not four hundred listings.
I’m Brendan Cocoman — the Brendan behind Brendan Tour Specialist. I match American visitors with two or three family-run Irish tour companies I’d trust with my own family, they build your custom itinerary in US dollars, and I answer the phone the whole time you’re in Ireland.
What you get
A custom Ireland itinerary, built person by person
There is no set menu here. Tell me your dates (rough is fine), who’s travelling, what you love — the coast, golf, music, a castle, the townland your great-grandmother left — and I’ll tell you honestly which parts of Ireland deserve your week and which famous stops aren’t worth your money.
Then I match you with the right one of my partner companies. They’re the experts: self-drive, chauffeur-driven, private coach, rail, golf, genealogy, hiking, horse racing. They get your whole itinerary sorted and priced in US dollars. I don’t disappear once you’ve booked — I’m the number you ring at ten at night when a flight moves.
Private, chauffeur-driven tours
One driver-guide, one vehicle, nobody staring at the hedge.
Roots & ancestry trips
A surname is enough to start. The groundwork is done before you fly.

Questions Americans ask me first
What does an Ireland trip planner actually do?
I listen to what you want from Ireland — dates, who’s travelling, what you love, whether roots are part of it — and match you with one of two or three family-run Irish tour companies I’ve vetted over seven years. They build and price the itinerary in US dollars. I stay your point of contact from the day you land until the day you fly home.
How is this different from booking an Ireland tour online?
Search “Ireland tours” and you get four hundred companies promising the same castle and the same cliffs, with no way to tell them apart. I’ve driven with most of them. It came down to two or three that deserve your trip, and I only send people to those. You get one Irish adviser instead of a listings page.
What does it cost to use Brendan as a trip planner?
Nothing extra. I’m paid by the companies I match you with for making a good match, not by adding to your bill. Trip prices are quoted in US dollars, and you get $250 back once your deposit is paid — the Welcome Home.
How quickly will I hear back?
Personally, within 24 hours. Not an auto-reply. Ireland is five hours ahead of US Eastern time, so your evening message is my night, and I read it anyway.
Do you plan custom itineraries or set packages?
Custom, every time. There is no set menu. The regions and experiences on this site are raw material; the itinerary is built person by person around your dates, your pace and your people.
